Timmy McKeever Is Going “20 Over” On His One-Way Ticket To The Top

A fresh yet seasoned face in country music, Timmy McKeever blends modern rhythms with deeply personal storytelling. The rising artist is steadily carving out his lane on the road to stardom.

Following the release of his 2024 debut album Devils & Angels, McKeever hasn’t let up. After making the move to Nashville, he immersed himself in the craft, collaborating with top-tier songwriters and focusing on creating music that resonates.

“When I got to town, my main focus was just on the songwriting process,” he remembered. “I was like, I'm going to focus and just put my head down and write every single day, write as much music as I can.”

That dedication led to his latest release, “20 Over”, a three-minute anthem about pushing the limits and chasing something, with your foot steady on the gas.

McKeever’s sound doesn’t just play, it takes listeners somewhere. Tracks like “20 Over” and “I’ve Known Better” showcase his signature dynamic structure, where tempo evolves throughout the song. The shifts pull listeners back in during the final moments, making it nearly impossible to hit skip.

“If a song isn't moving and adding new things and evolving, I kind of get bored a little bit,” he said. “So I love to make sure the emotions are conveyed through all of the different moving instruments and just, some parts will be quiet and stripped back and then it'll ramp back up again.”

That attention to detail carries across his growing catalog, which feels like a collection of hidden hits waiting to be discovered. With over 200,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and millions of views across social media, McKeever is quickly turning momentum into reality.

“Some of the smallest venues that we've played on this tour were like venues that I wouldn't even have thought about playing when I was younger,” he remembers.

From playing dive bars and small clubs as a kid to preparing for massive stages like CMA Fest, McKeever’s growth has been steady and shows no signs of slowing down.

“Just looking down the line at the rest of the shows we get to play on this tour and even stuff that's lined up for after tour and just like the experience [and] we got CMA Fest coming up and other festivals this summer,” he said.

And he’s just getting started.

With new music on the horizon, McKeever hints that his best work is still to come.

“My favorite songs that I've done are all unreleased. So I'm really excited for what's to come out in the near future. I think it's, there's a lot of songs in there that I love,” he teases.

One thing is clear: Timmy McKeever isn’t slowing down anytime soon. And as his trajectory continues upward, the rest of the world is starting to take notice.
