Singer-songwriter Sadie Jean continues to drop understated hits with the release of her latest single, "Just Because." The latest ballad, co-written with Griff Clawson and Shy Martin, touches on themes of heartache and self-worth, highlighting the rising artist's poignant, emotional vocals.

In "Just Because," Jean continues to navigate life and love as a young woman, using soothing acoustic guitar strumming, lilting piano lines, and understated percussion to create a conclusion to the complexities of past romantic experiences. Memorable lines like, "Just because I miss you doesn't mean I want you back / And just because I almost called don't mean I wish I had," hook the listener into the catchy chorus as Jean declares she knows what's best for her and her well-being.

"'Just Because' articulates the space between holding on and letting go. That period of time when you know you deserve better, but you still haven't adjusted to the absence of what's been lost," shares Jean in a statement. "Writing this song taught me that my feelings don't have to co-exist in perfect harmony for them to be valid. It's okay to miss someone who hurt you and to want to call someone you know you should probably never speak to again."

"Just Because" serves as a follow-up to her two smash hits, "WYD Now?" and "Locksmith." With her growing discography, Jean is consistently working on new, heartstring-pulling music in the studio, making her, without a doubt, an artist to watch this year. She recently completed an opening slot across Cian Ducrot's sold-out UK, and Europe tour this past spring.
